Corrosion ICAF & ICCP Systems

Providing Cathodic Protection in Cairns & the South Pacific

Protect Your Vessels From Fouling—Corrosion Testing

Marine fouling is the build-up of biological growth on surfaces exposed to salt water. It poses a serious problem for constructions mounted in sea water and waterborne vehicles. Fouling leads to added maintenance requirements, impaired performance and increased costs.

At Pasma Electrical, we’re the exclusive South Pacific agent for Corrosion—a Netherlands-based company that specialises in cathodic (corrosion) protection systems, ICCP and marine growth prevention (MGPS or ICAF) for the maritime industry. We service Australia, New Zealand, PNG and throughout the South Pacific region.

Corrosion has developed cutting-edge technological products which provide the most advanced and economical solutions against corrosion and fouling. This includes their revolutionary impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) system and their marine growth protection system (MGPS).

ICCP System Benefits

Corrosion’s ICCP system provides vessels with all-round protection, including the propulsion and rudder systems. The system is far more cost-effective to operate in the long run, is almost maintenance-free and has a long service life (25 years). Even if the electrolytic effects of water vary considerably, the system quickly adapts and continues to offer optimum protection, which can never be achieved by the sacrificial anodes or simple paint systems.
